We welcome your submissions to the Official Silvergate Inn web site, and are dedicated to providing a place for Silvergate members and non-members to receive recognition for their talents and enjoy the works of others.
Before you submit any material to the Silvergate web site, you must read the Terms of Use, especially the section pertaining to material submissions. Whether or not you read these Terms, you will be bound by them, so it pays to read them before you submit your material.
Submissions will be accepted from all, but precedent (in case of space limitations) is given to Silvergate members. All sorts of submissions are accepted, but the following indicates those submissions that we are most interested in. Remember, many of the individual pages on the site (such as the Social Registry) have forms that will allow you to send your submissions directly to the person in charge of that area.
Profession Information: Guides, articles, essays and any other profession-specific information can be submitted. Information about specific professions' guilds are also welcome.
Elanthian History: Anything pertaining to Elanthian History is most welcome. This is not only restricted to histories of the Lands, but also of specific towns (such as River's Rest or Pinefar) and races (such as the Dhe'Nar or the halflings). It can also include stories about Legendary adventurers, battles or treasures (such as magical items).
House History and Information: We prefer this to be Silvergate-specific, and this can include anything from interviews with officers and famous House members to stories about the history of Silvergate and its founders, to details of the new rooms being added to the Inn.
Religious Information: Articles and essays on specific gods or on whole pantheons are all wanted.
Social Information: Most of the social information will be handled through Silvergate's Social Registery. However, information of a social nature regarding the Silvergate, the town or its inhabitants will also be accepted.
Fiction and Art: If you are a talented writer or artist, and you have created works that are Silvergate-related, we would love the chance to publish your short stories, poems, artworks, even musical scores!
All written material is to be submitted in plain text or ASCII format, either attached to an e-mail message or in the body of the message. Material not in this format will be returned to the sender for reformatting. Artwork must be submitted in either .GIF, .JPG, or .JPEG format. Artwork not in one of these three forms will be returned to the sender for reformatting. MIDI format is preferred for musical selections, but other formats on these selections can be tried. Be prepared with a MIDI copy if possible (since that is the most easily recognizable form for most systems).
Notes on Written Submissions: Written submissions are asked for in either ASCII or "plain text", and that has caused a bit of confusion. For those of you using Word or other programs of that nature, you will need to check your options carefully when you convert your program. There is usually an option that says .txt, which seems the logical choice. Actually, it's not. You'll need to look for something that says .txt(DOS) or similar; that is plain text. If this is not possible, try cutting and pasting the document into an e-mail message...that might solve the problem.
The Webmistress will send you a response when your material is received; if that response has not come in three days, kindly inquire to make sure that your material arrived. If the material is accepted, you will be contacted with a form to sign (as stated in the Terms of Use), and will be informed of the approximate date you will be able to see your work on the site. If the work is not accepted, no further information will be sent. The Silvergate site will not return work sent to us, and unused work will be deleted, so be sure and keep a copy!
This seems needless to say, but any work must be your own!!
Send your submissions to Lord Enegue for consideration. Please include the words "Silvergate Site Submission" in the subject header. Again, be sure you have read and understood the Terms of Use. Any questions on the terms can be directed to the .
