Over the years, I've had the opportunity to view many outfits and special items created for weddings. From weddings I've attended, to assisting brides with their lists, I've been blessed with viewing lovely creations of all styles. Each was as unique as the adventurer who wore or carried it. The following are just a few of my favorite items. If you'd like to see your items in this section, please send them my way.
Lady Bledixia's Gown
and Matching Attendant's Gown: "a princess-line gown of pure white velvet
overlaid in crystal blue gossamer with slender sleeves tapering
to the wrists and a square neckline
trimmed in white puma fur"
"an ice blue velvet gown trimmed with silver braid at the square neckline and along the fitted sleeves"
Lady Bledixia's Headpiece:
"a crystal blue veil of silver-threaded
gossamer silk attached to a hand-blown glaes circlet trimmed with
teardrop pearls"
Lady Bledixia's and
Lord Massion's Marriage Declaration: "a Declaration of Marriage" Show: Looking closely at
the aged parchment, you see the names of Bledixia and Massion
in flowing script along with the date they sanctified their union.
Lady Brownyng's Maternity
Gown: "a gold-threaded ivory damask
maternity gown with an empire-style bodice and fitted sleeves,
a skirt that falls softly to the ground and gold cording trim
at the scooped neckline and pointed cuffs."
Lady Brownyng's Chatelaine:
"a gold
chatelaine" Show:
You see a circular chatelaine wrought of the purest gold. Designed
to hold the keys and other necessities of Silvergate's Lady of
the Manor, it is etched with a stylized triskele. Engraved on
the back of the chatelaine are the words: "Much love, from
Cullien"
Lady Brownyng's Slippers:
"a pair
of supple kidskin slippers worked with gold"
Lady Cullien's Gown: "a midnight-green velvet gown with embroidered
golden ivy trailing down the fitted sleeves to the pointed cuffs"
Lady Cullien's Reticule:
"a lady's
reticule" Show:
You see a pouch of velvet covered with small sparkling glaes
and emerald beads which dangles from the wrist by soft cords.
The pouch is lined with
satin, and carries the various necessities a lady cannot do without.
Lord Fisdan's Crown: "an
ancient mithril crown with five prongs of chiseled vultite topped
by polished dragonsfire ruby globes"
Lord Fisdan's Tunic: "a
regal black silk tunic with sparkling ruby buttons and slashed
silver sleeves"
Lady Kaikeyi's and
Lord Krackenstar's Keepsake Charms: "a small keepsake charm" Show: You see a small pin
engraved with the image of a radiant wedding couple. Beneath the
two is a small inscription, "Thank you for your friendship
over the years. Kaikeyi and Krackenstar".
(These tiny charms
were given to each of the attendants in Kaikeyi's and Krackenstar's
wedding, and is one of the loveliest ideas for attendants' gifts
I have seen to date.)
Lady Lavinnia's Veil: "A
circlet of golden ivy upon which rests a thin, floor-length veil
of the
finest lace, sprinkled with seed pearls and brilliants."
Lady Mariahh's Belt: "A
silver serpentine belt"
Show: The belt is crafted from
pure silver in the form of a writhing, twisting serpent. The belt
hangs low on the hips and has arcane runes etched into the surface.
Tiny black diamonds dangle from the fangs, connected by delicate
silver chains.
Lady Mariahh's and
Lord Rikes' Staffs: "A black ebonwood staff" Show:
Upon closer examination of the staff you see it is carved in the
form of a writhing serpent with its fangs poised to strike. Gripped
in its mouth is a large flawless black diamond. Its eyes are formed
by two perfect deathstones.
"A twisted black fel staff" Show: Upon taking a closer look you see
a twisted black fel staff with a rune etched golden veniom tip.
You also notice the staff has polished black diamond studs twisting
down it and is topped off by a large black diamond which is held
in place by the mouth of a large coiled golden snake.
Lady Mistyrose's Gown:
"An exquisite
lowcut gown of diaphanous white satin with delicate puffed sleeves
and a draping satin bow which leads to a train of gossamer stardust
lace that catches the light with every movement"
(This is quite
possibly the most famous wedding gown in Elanthian history. It
was worn for Mistyrose's wedding to Lord Raphael, which still
ranks as one of the greatest weddings of all time. The gown was
created almost five real-time years ago, long before the "Plan
C" weddings. Furthermore, during the "wedding blackout"
when GM weddings were no longer being done, the gown was loaned
out for countless weddings. Many Legendary Ladies were wed in
this beautiful creation.)
Lord Truekillr's Robe: "An
ebony robe richly accented by golden trim fashioned into the shape
of a continuous set of interlocking keys."
Lord Truekillr's Pauldron
and Espalier: "A black veil iron pauldron". Show: The
pauldron is made to protect the wearers left shoulder giving more
range of motion to the weapon arm. This particular pauldron is
etched in golden glaes to form the image of a glorious phoenix
rising in flight. Beneath it is a warrior leaning triumphantly
upon his blade.
"An ancient ceremonial espalier" Show: This espalier is fashioned of gleaming, green glaes into the shape of a majestic dragon curling around the wearer's shoulder. It is wholly ceremonial in nature and offers no protection to the wearer, but was obviously forged with great care of a dwarven smith. The smith captured the movements of the dragon perfectly, leading one to believe he had intimate knowledge of the great beasts.
Lord Truekillr's Sandals: "A
pair of open toed sandles held together by an intricate knotwork
of
golden veniom thread"
Lady Ylena's Houpelande
and Kirtle: "an elegant white muslin houpelande
tightly backlaced with ruby-dusted silvery ribbons and embroidered
at the hem with intertwined lutes in red and harps in silver"
"a sheer white cotton kirtle trimmed with silvery lace at the hem and sleeves"
Lady Ylena's Instrument
Pouch: "a white satin instrument pouch embroidered
with Cholen symbols in red and silver"
Lady Ylena's Slippers: "a
pair of high heeled white satin slippers with an elaborate silver
filigree overlay"
The Hall of Fame is ever expanding. I encourage you to send any beautiful items my way, so that I may add them to this list. This list is my opinion only, and in no way encompasses all the lovely items I have seen, or that even were worn by the adventurers featured here. It is simply an overview of the most eye-catching. Remember that these are unique items in the game; copying exactly these items would be in the poorest of taste.
