In late 1997, Lord Enegue conceived of the Member of the Year Award as a way to honour our members who had volunteered for the House throughout the year. The award was to be presented to the member who had done the most for Silvergate throughout the year. The presentation was designed to take place at the annual Winter Gala, and consisted of a customized item and a cash award.
The MOTY has expanded and grown a bit, but the basic concept is the same: to reward an outstanding member of Silvergate for their efforts. Whereas in the past, good works on behalf of the Inn were required, we are expanding to those Silvergate members whose volunteerism and good works have impacted Elanthia as a whole, or any part of it. Anyone who has made a difference through their selflessness can be nominated as Member of the Year.
The award will be presented at the Winter Gala or at a special banquet. The nominee will receive a customized item and a cash award from Lord Enegue.
With nearly 3500 members, being named Silvergate's Member of the Year award is a high honour. We are very proud of our members, and enjoy the chance to recognize their accomplishments in Elanthia in tangible form.
If you have any questions or suggestions about the MOTY Award, kindly send them to Lord Enegue.
