Life Membership
Life Members are the backbone of House Silvergate. They provide a strong base of members with a real interest in seeing the House thrive, and provide the financial stability that allows Silvergate to accomplish a great deal throughout the year.
Life Membership requires a one-time fee of 100,000 in a bank note, payable any time after you join. (If you plan to join as a life member, you still must have the 5,000 silver initiation fee in coins during your induction.) Life Members are offered
many special privileges, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Exemption from quarterly dues.
-
No limits on the amount of inductees one is allowed to sponsor. (General Members may only sponsor one inductee per quarter.)
-
The opportunity to nominate members for the Member of the Year Award.
-
A mailing list exclusively for life members, giving them first notice of House events, announcements and other important information.
-
The opportunity to own a private room in the House. (See the by-laws for information; room owners must be a Life Member, but Life Membership does not automatically translate into a private room.)
-
Special functions and contests for Life Members only. The recent contest that allowed Members to design the new guest rooms being installed in the House was open to Life Members only. Five Life Members had the opportunity to see their designs for rooms submitted to the builders, and will soon see those rooms built.
-
Participation in hearings, emergency meetings and other meetings as stated in the by-laws.
If you are interested in purchasing a Life Membership, you may do so at any time by contacting one of the officers and arranging to deliver a note of 100,000 silvers. Any further questions or suggestions regarding Life Membership benefits (including suggestions for future benefits for Life Members) can be directed to
Lord Enegue.
